Dodens Dal - Det Star Skrivet

No matter how hard i’ve tried i couldn’t find any information about this surprisingly amazing Swedish band named Dodens Dal. Their debut single, Det Star Skrivet, that hit the internet earlier today was quite a shock for me. Imagine how it would sound a collaboration between Kavinsky and Symmetry, the midnight urban atmosphere of the first with the imaginary sensuality of the other. This is the perfect soundtrack for the after hours that integrates Dodens Dal into the sound school that has flourished from Mr. Johnny Jewel’s passionate obsessions…. Absolute killer!!!

Dodens Dal’s Ga Ensam Forbi  LP will drop in February 2013 via Flora And Fauna.

Brighton’s Teen Velvettes just made available for free download their new EP via their tumblr page. Grab Your Board EP is an ode to surf music, 5 songs that are about to tame the waves with their board using their instrumental energy in the same way Dick Dale did in the ’60s! Except from a cover on ”Surfer Joe” by the Surfaris were you can finally here the sweet vocals by this sweet, sweet band!!!

Danger Beach - Prom Night

”Prom Night” was born when Lachlan Thomas aka Danger Beach met TV colours. The two of them co-wrote a song/track full of tropical lullabies ideal for afternoons on the beach where the salt is about to become a permanent resident on your skin! Simple but perfect!

Two years after the excellent Milky Way LP, Danger Beach will release his Pacific LP sometime this year via Dream Damage Records.

With references to the ’80s dream pop, Cocteau Twins era, the girl duo succesfully attempts a nostalgic road trip to the music of your dreams! New track from one of my favorite Greek producers. FH (Fantastikoi Hxoi) returns with this short psychedelic masterpiece that could easily be part of the soundtrack for a Sergio Leone film! Don’t know what are the samples in here but ”Strange Light From The East” contains one of the most addictive guitar lines that i’ve heard for a long time know….. Emotional and simply beautiful!

We’ve talked before about this Grecian guy who goes by the name Monday Night Fever. Well yesterday he returned with a brand new track, the charming cinemascope of ”Yellow Dots Under The Leaky Sun”. This time he creates these powerful technicolor sounds, drawing ideas from classic hollywood soundtracks with the imaginative use of these captivating, Henry Mancini like horns leading the way to a colourful road trip. Creepy romantic and indescribably nostalgic!

Minimal, jazzy new track from Sun Raw. ”Find Me” does the Madlib way so well that is impossible for me to resist. Everything in here, from the flute sample to the horn snippet, are in complete musical harmony. As it seems, up there in Sweden they are into the hip hop culture as well.
