Young Hunting - Wrecking Ball

It was about time for Young Hunting to drop their debut album. Hazel LP will drop on June 11 via Gold Robot Records and the Los Angeles based band made today a small introduction with the amazing song Wrecking Ball. Soft as a touch, relaxing like the sunbeams hitting you in spring and sweet like honey with tea this ’60s-Burt Bacharach inspired dream pop ballad is going to haunt many unprotective souls out there and gain all the love it deserves. There’s no doubt about it…

Wild Ones - Golden Twin

The Portland based group Wild Ones have a new record coming out in July and they celebrate it by allowing the world to have a glimpse on their sundrenched dream pop, Golden Twin is a sparkling, sunshine flavored synth pop that stucks in you with this innocence, ’80s influenced pop sound hovering all your bad emotions to these optimistic vibes! A special catchy sing along single to bright your summer days with good feelings! Loved it…

Lola’s Bad - Corona Wide

Lola’s Bad is the solo moniker of Evangelia C, a Greek born but London raised producer/performer that just released her debut EP Miss Abyss 2046. Her music is a quirky amalgam of exotic dream pop and goth flavored synth electronic with her voice balancing somewhere between Zola Jesus and Liz Fraser. Corona Wide has all these elements to force anyone out there to pay attention in here with the tropical, almost danceable vibes co-existing with the ethereal, shadow-y and otherwordly vocals that place this song straight to your heart….

Miss Abyss 2046 EP is available on a limited edition of 50 audio cassettes and you can grab your copy over here.

My Body - Pyramids (Frank Ocean Cover)

Brooklyn’s synth pop darlings My Body made a wonderful cover on Frank Ocean’s Pyramids. From the mind blowing opening over some serious psych dub marching rhythms to the sultry female pop vocals softly covered with the ’70s sounds of a psychedelic guitar, this cover could easily be cofused for an original! Take some time and listen ‘cause this might be one of the best covers the year 2013 has offered us….

Geodesics - 1984

Hailing from Austin, Texas the bedroom pop producer Geodesics has a thing for uplifting melodies to be filtered through space and time, so you can feel the analog-robotic sounds through you’re whole body! 1984 is a wonderful example of his sparkling electro/synth pop charade and a nostalgic (but in a charming, weird way) strictly danceable dream pop little masterpiece that grows in you from the first listen! If Keep Shelly In Athens and Washed Out started ‘shooting’ each other with tunes after a night full of alcohol, this is what we probably had in our hands! Pretty cool, right???

Listen the wonderful 1984 above and head over here to purchase the limited edition Geodisics EP.

Wall - Shoestring (Woman’s Hour Remix)

Woman’s Hour have enslaved many souls out there with their magnificent debut 7” and as it seems they’re carrying the magic through out their remixes! Wall’s Shoestring is a powerful yet minimalistic indie pop song and in the hands of Woman’s Hour you can feel the darkened edges standing above you with its dream pop sensuality slowly progressing in a late night house jam! A breathtaking soulful oriented song closed in an epic package!

Alex Cameron - She’s Mine

”A voice like honey and lyrics that stings. His keybord licks go straight for the heart. He knows what he’s doing and although he’s nobody’s fool, he is a slave to love. He’s also has a deep, untreated phobia for tsunamis.” With a profile like that the less i could do was press play and suddenly a new rising artist blossomed in my ears with She’s Mine. Sydney’s Alex Cameron goes a wild ride with his debut song, kicking some bouncy, soulful and romantic synth pop in the most sophisticated way without forgetting to place the groove in the heart. Startling and thrilling from song one!!! Not bad….

Dirty Beaches - ELLI

We all know that later this month Alex Zhang Hungtai’s Dirty Beaches will release the much anticipated Drifters/Love Is The Devil double LP via Kill Zoo Music. We’ve already heard Love Is The Devil, Lands In The Mist and Casino Lisboa so now it’s time for ELLI to spread Mr. Dirty Beaches word! A romantic, dark obsessed and minimal wave affair of seducive melodism with his stripped voice curving over a freak circus of unique beauty! Need to hear more to make you beg for the whole album to drop????

MONEY - Bluebell Fields

Manchester based band MONEY, after having signed to Bella Union Records, are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, due to release for late summer. Bluebell Fields is the first single, a striking psych folk experience filled with all these colorful emotions to make you wanna fly above a field of roses! A little masterpiece that unfolds its unlimited potentials second by second, making truly sense with the above video of abstract and blurry images controlling your mind! Perfect beauty….

Jesse Ruins - Laura Is Fading

Japanese trio Jesse Ruins is set release their forthcoming LP, A Film, on Desire Records during this month. Laura Is Fading is a fine cut of their abrasive dream pop tincture that this band is so thoroughly chasing. A blast in the past, a dive into a cinematic kaleidoscope that swirls your psychedelic appetite round and round ‘till it settles down in the synth and guitar driven stereoscopic universe!

COSMO V - White Power

Netherlands based female artist COSMO V strikes again with a delightful and colorful new tune. White Power drags a tropical essence in the heart of a psychedelic pop seed. A bedroom pop sonate covered in fuzzy, opium upbeat rhythms that in such ease blends the tropicalia sounds of an exotic place with the diy melodies of the far east! Α fresh cooler to spice your warm nights… Beauty….

Terror Bird - Do You Remember?

It will hit you like a lightning and probably you won’t understand where it came from! Vancouver based artist Nikki Nevver aka Terror Bird spreads her tentacles into this symphonic pop masterpiece drawing her inspirations from the ’60s, especially from the Scott Walker golden era, while an ’80s neo-romantic veil rises above her euphoric production! If Do You Remember? is the first glimpse from her upcoming album, then she’s counting one more devoted fan in her roster… This is how exceptional sounds like!

All This Time will be available digitally, on cd and on vinyl on May 27 via Night School Records. LP sleeves will be screenprinted with 300 Black, 100 Forest Green and 100 Dark Navy Bue editions.

Letters To Fiesta - Vampires

Manchester based band Letters To Fiesta have been hosted in this blog again, but their newest song Vampires demanded this second round! With their sound balancing between the past and the present, Vampires sounds like the ideal possible situation of what would happened if Siouxsie, Zola Jesus and Florence & The Machine co-existed in the studio! It’s like a traditional English folk ballad that suddenly break its cell and open its wings into the sky, looking into the ground and feeling this untouchable layer of magic to be converted into a stunning pop manifest!

Tea Leigh & Luke Reed - Color Theory (Pleasure Curses Remix)

As it wasn’t colorful and blissful enough, Pleasure Curses came to shot this dream pop delight right into the stars! The DC production duo injects the groove and the danceable figures into one of the best pop tunes of 2012. Tea Leigh & Luke Reed see the hazy, eerie song of theirs to slowly be transformed into a soft, intangible and bouncy electro pop feast! A fragile rework that demands care….

Wolf Bones - Always Falling

I surrendered myself to the sun melted tunes of this song! Los Angeles based producer Wolf Bones adopts a chill out, synth hop approach with some exciting hints of string flashes flooding the dream pop layers of Always Falling. Maybe it’s the use of vocals that makes this something you’ve got to hold on to or just maybe it’s the irresistible pop course that bloosoms like a flower in front of you! Whatever it is, we’re talking about pure beauty!

Wolf Bones EP is available for purchase, in the price of 1$, over here
