I know what most people will say when they see this. A remix in a Joy Division song? Nah, i’ll better pass! That this song is Love Will Tear Us Apart, the best known song of theirs, doesn’t make things any easier! But French producer Supernightmoves has done a spectacular job here. While he’s kept the dark, new wave character of the original, he has transformed it into an eight-minute slow burner with a breathless disco beat and a twisted ambient wave form that imprisons all the essence of Joy Division’s spirit with a little….. groove! Essential stuff!
Duck House - Cut The Line
Bristol’s Duck House brought on the table another sweet track from their upcoming Frowns EP. Cut The Line is groovy and soulful disco aka DFA inspired little dynamite that hits on the dancefloor with its propulsive beats and loops so you can exercise your dance moves for the big party that is about to come.
