This is an unreleashed song from the At Breath’s End LP recording sessions that Die Jungen made available recently as part from his ucoming Another Breath EP. If That’s What You Think is a ’50s ode to Roy Orbinson a tropical doo wop waltz for two under the summer moon.

Joey Ghostly - Ghostly
Nothing else smells like summer the way doo wop music does! This ’50s breeze of innocence, the surf in the sun like Beach Boys used to sing identifies Joey Ghostly in his solo effort, away from his pure and raw rockn’roll that his band, The Enthusiasts are devoting themselves. ”Ghostly” travels in the golden era of rockn’roll and you’re just so excited that he’s taking you by his side so you can feel these pure emotions for once again!!!!
Finally, Die Jungen’s ”At Breat’s End” LP is available for streaming and if anyone had any suspicions about how good this would be, it’s about time to dissolve them. Klaus Von Barrel’s side project is the best thing 2012 has shown so far and his debut full length is the most psyched doo woop (i think ”The Way Down” is going to haunt many souls out there!!!) of the recent history!!!
”At Breat’s End” LP is coming out on cd/LP/digital, 5th March on LebensStrasse Records.
Klaus Von Barrel’s, and by that name remember The KVB, Die Jungen are about to release their debut full length LP via LebensStrasse Records. ”At Breath’s End” will continue bringing to us the ’50s doo woop, rockn’roll with a Phil Spector like production like he did with his wonderful EP’s. The picture above speaks for itself. In ”All The Time” Teen Velvettes play some hopelessly romantic, ’50s pop with Phil Spector’s wall of sound ideas coming out in every note! This silly balladry became an obsession of mine the last few days since these Brighton kids manage to reverse my world in black and white every time i hear this beautiful song!

Όπως η ίδια λέει η πρώτη επαφή με τα ‘50ς έγινε με την ταινία ”Cry Baby Cry” του John Waters όταν ήταν 8 ετών κάπου στην California και ένας έρωτας (εμμονή?) γεννήθηκε με την συγκεκριμένη δεκαετία! Η Dominique Pruitt έχει μια υπέροχη φωνή που 60 χρόνια πριν θα άφηνε τα μουσικά αποτυπώματά της σε κλασσικά τραγούδια και μια μουσική πένα γεμάτη ενέργεια που γράφει μικρά διαμαντάκια γεμάτα northern soul και rockn’roll επιρροές έτοιμα να ντύσουν με χρώμα τις ασπρόμαυρες μέρες και νύχτες σας! Όπως συμβαίνει στο απίστευτα groovy ”Fallin” που μπορείτε να ακούσετε ακριβώς από κάτω και να το κατεβάσετε κάνοντας μόνο ένα κλικ εδώ!!!!
Σαν να κόλλησε ο χρόνος στην δεκαετία του ‘50… Αυτό σκέφτηκα μόλις άκουσα το υπέροχο (για την ακρίβεια) EP των/του Die Jungen…. Ο οποίος Die Jungen είναι οι The KVB, καμμιά σχέση ηχητικά αλλά ναι, είναι! Ακούστε το όμορφα νοσταλγικό doo woop του ”Just A Dream” που σε ταξιδεύει στο ασπρόμαυρο παρελθόν και μετά ακούστε όλοκληρο το EP!
Το ”When I Saw You” το είχα λιώσει. Τώρα οι Cerulean Tapes έκαναν διαθέσιμο άλλο ένα υπέροχο ‘50ς prom (?) τραγούδι για ρομαντικές ψυχές και ανυπόφορες ζέστες. Η μπάντα, που παραμένει μόνο με το bandcamp αγκαλιά, με το ”Nothing Nowhere” βουτάει ακόμα πιο βαθιά στην δεκαετία του αμερικάνικου ονείρου και στο wall of sound με ακόμα μεγαλύτερη επιτυχία!!!
