Got this album via email yesterday and from the description this guy gave me, it became perfectly clear that i had to give this a try. MH hails from Chicago and his second album, the mysterious ”Year Of The Indian”, falls somewhere between the mountain bearded folk/americana and the sonic guitar experimentations of a Fennesz (maybe!). It carries these ’70s kinda Neil Young vibes enhanced with this dark, whisky flavored voice that gives you shivers and some reasons to never get up from your bed. Listen below the wonderful melancholy of ”Valley Of Fires” and then head over to his bandcamp page to download for free the ”Year Of The Indian” LP.
