Toronto based indie rn’b artist Sean Blackthornreleased his debut EP a few days ago and i’ve got to say i’m kind of awed from what i’ve heard! This year’s October will be the month that mr. Fantastikoi Hxoi will drop his next LP via Inner Ear Records. Yet today is the day that one of my favorite Greek producers dropped his new single from the aformentioned LP. Dream Chart is a psychedelic path that leads into the vast space filled with world flavored sounds that makes it almost a universal case! Excellent….
This amazing and epic 10 minute version of Street Hustle Boogie that Greek groovy/psych experimentalists Rattler Proxydid for Sonic Playground's Sunday Tapes sessions is like Elvis on acid, a motorik monster that comes dancing towards you, a rocking and noisy synth manifest ready to stain any innocence left inside you!
The St. Louis based duo of Savage Sisterhas recorded some eerie, ethereal dream pop tunes that it would be unfair to say they didn’t move me! Especially on Skinny Girl, the diy producing method highlights all the playful tones of the c86 legacy, conjuring this way into a jangling and upper melodic summer pop anthem.
Los Angeles Ghost Loft risked and succeed with their remix on Icky BlossomsHeat Lightning. A truly unrecognizable rework with its soulful and sunny post rn’b beats overcoming its original electro pop roots, leaving you searching for salty waters and fne-grained sand! Ace…
The debut track by London’s resident Beau Doyle is a romantic drift back to the what so called trip hop music. But it’s not only that! With his magnificent Girl, Beau Doyle nanages with his soft vocals to chill and popy things up with an anti-nostalgic beautiful song that could be easily the reason to make you fall in love…. Keep an eye on this guy for more thrills in the near future.
This is an unreleashed song from the At Breath’s End LP recording sessions that Die Jungen made available recently as part from his ucoming Another Breath EP. If That’s What You Think is a ’50s ode to Roy Orbinson a tropical doo wop waltz for two under the summer moon.
Eaves, a 17 year old kid/producer from Los Angeles, dropped an impressive debut EP a few days ago. Everytime i try to post about this gresian artist i’m a little confused of how to present him. Jackie Farrow or The Linear-A Experiment? Anyway, today i’m going with Jackie Farrowfor this sweet cover on Bobby Jameson's Name Of The Game. More darker, more psyched, more weird than the original with a dream pop twist in an industrial enviroment for the urban listeners of today!!! Enjoy…
Yet to recover from the three songs that were hidden in The Season Of Risk 7” by this New Mexico band named Ether Island. At sometimes raw and weird as Suicide were and at times depressing with a dreamy haze and drone fusion in an unmistakabley autumn beauty like a mixture between Cat Power, Low, Beach House and Galaxie 500 as our friends at norman succesfully said for the quite opus of Black Wind Way.
The Season Of Risk 7” is available for purchase in a limited edition of 325 at Not Not Fun.

I almost feel sad about missing on time Bam Spacey's Land 12” but i feel happy that dropped in my ears yesterday. Magnus Johansson and his latest effort on Ceremony Recordsis relating a minimal electronic pop opus with the scandinavian sceneries that most of us have never seen in it’s true beauty! Listen the quiet thunderstorm of the closer Rivieran and order the 12” here.
Amazing new track by Finnish producer Albert Swarm. One year after his Held EP Swarm will return on September 4 with his sophomore release, the Wake EP via Ceremony. The rather talented producer on Moths & Moth Catchers converts the haunting, futuristic ambiance of the first half into an almost danceable Berlinesque technoid of unbelievable beauty. This is one of this years most anticipated releases as far as i’m concerned!!!
Montreal’s Garbage Man is the moniker of young Patrick McGraw and today Arbutus Recordsshared with us his first ever split with Kool Music, another Montreal based artist. First (and very, very promising) track from Paris based Edouard Rose’s solo project Bats. Cavern is a tropical, psych pop instrumental little magic with surf influences that feels like a happy hour for children!
Cavern LP is set to be released sometime in January 2013 via Heiasun Records.
Devoted to the sounds of electronic pop from the late ’80s, Fever Kids but most of all their, catchy as hell, song Overrated is/are like an illustrated pop art multicolor of the crazy hair decade! With the synths swinging over a card postal sunset and the ideal pastel colors about to bleach by touching only, its the vocals from Stella that pulls you into a sensual mood that could make the chills a permanent body feeling! Ace…
French producer Holy Strays is the work of a multi-talented 22 year old guy named Sebastien Forrester and since he hadn’t feed us with any original work for the past few months i was happily surprised with the announce of his new 7”. I don’t think there was a better way to introduce his aforementioned release than this. The appearance of Christabell B a few hours earlier marked my day with these emotional sampled frenzy vocals and midnight yet ecstatic beat driven electronic soundscapes for depressed souls and vulnerable hearts!
Christabell 7” will drop on August 13 via Morning Ritualand you can place your pre-orders here.

I wanted to post about this Grecian duo for a long time know and i think that with the launch of the new site by Sonic Playground i couldn’t find a better opportunity! The Rattler Proxy are determined to paint in black and change anyone’s perspective on a classic! On Blue Moon the distorted sounds of a guitar are intersected with the dream pop sensitivity of an Ian Curtis leading into a shady but optimistic and plain amazing cover!!!
From a band with a name like this, it was a bit of a surprise to hear a song like that! The scratchy feeling that lives between the notes of the hamond organ, the soulful rn’b groove with the sexy vibe and the ’90s lo-fi aesthetic of the vocals interpreted in a Pavement like mode brings on the floor a truly beautiful piece of music about unity with a funky twist!!!
You can hear more songs from these chameleons by clicking here.
I have to say that my mind went travelling to the vast expanses of the mountains with the sorrow melodies of Blake Cowan aka Wickerbird. From the opening track of The Crow Mother LP you can sense the sadness and loneliness that this guy is feeling! The Fold feels too lonely to be recorded in New York than let’s say over some wild mountains but we all know that the big city is a bitch!
Listen to the magical, introspective melodies of The Fold and click here to stream the whole LP.
What about some disco? A bongo, funky twisted disco groove for the nights with the coctails in your hands and the alcohol in your veins? Tea Leigh & LukeReed crafted the perfect pop song for the summer days, a dream affair with all the hooks and swings bringing to life a breath of fresh air!!!! This is a song to identify your summer with….
Antidromis one of my few weaknesses in this new wave of digital analogue omniverse. His first official release proves that his outstanding random tracks weren’t just a thin air. On First Things First cs is experimenting himself with the raw, but so compelling, side of electronic music going further of stranger tides. But with the hypnotic, mid eastern infused sounds of ”Resolution” Antidromreaches a primal, meditative state of trance based on a primitive sensuality of analogue seizure that i couldn’t help but fall in its feet!!!
Since today i’m in touch with my hip hop/rn’b side of myself, it’s a good chance to post about this guy called Ronny D.(you can check his contribution on the post below!!). On Seen It All together with Vada Senatin they’re knitting an ingenius vocal game over some raw beat orgasm reaching to a climax of a meaningful and soulful rap duet!!! Did i mention that it’s catchy as hell too????
California resident producer K.T.Fhit me with this track from his newest mixtape and i can’t stop hittin’ play every time this song ends! With ”Story Of Our Lives” K.T.F reaches the downtempo, ambient scream the way Haleek Maul does while still maintaining the ’90s west coast attitude but this time is mixed up with the quite ambience from today’s Chicago area (Supreme Cuts, The Drum). An honest, angry recitation underneath featuring the help of Ronny D. is something you don’t wanna miss!!!
Villains Are My Heroes Mixtape is available for streaming over here.
