I found it hard to resist on these ambient, midnight rn’b rhythms and tropical vocals that Chicago producer Chris LeSageis so generously outlines! ”Her Interlude (Clark Street)” works like a vehicle that leads you on an exotic, sensual place were everything blurs from the sun and this song is the only thing that could cool things up!!! Beautiful…
The Interlude EP is available for free download here, make sure to check it out!
P.S: Listen to another great track, Your Game, a Weeknd influenced and minimalistic rn’b little masterpiece!
Here is the stunning remix on Mary’s Flower SuperheadTouch To A Blastby the Grecian duo of electronic experimentalists Hana. A summer, groovy and joyful disco pop song turned into a techno-freak yet still holding its groove and disco balance for an awkward dance-floor filled with uncontrollable little people!!!! Amazing from start to finish…
”Music inspired by late-night suburban life” are the words tagged with the debut release of New York producer Clear Eyesand i don’t think there is a better way to describe the sounds that are emerging from his Agony EP. A midnight journey through the big city lights via deconstructed beats and chilled out fairness that sounds like a walk in the park! Stream below the opening and M83 inspired beauty Before Dark and click here to download the EP.
I found myself sinking into the abyss of her voice with these otherwordly carousel sounds keeping me company ‘till i hit the bottom! Grecian girl Saint Garlicsand her fresh new psychedelic, dream/avant pop song ”Your o.s.” are opening an inside door as a way to communicate the weird minds of Laurel Halo and U.S Girls, bringing to the world something exquisite and strangely beautiful!!! This is so good…..
It’s one of these songs that when you hear it, it sounds so familiar like you’ve been listening to it your whole life. Stacey Dylan is an American based African artist born in Zimbabwe but raised in Atlanta, Georgia and her debut song Y€S has all these elements of synth pounding electronic pop with a strong backbone of layered vocals and light hearted, playful melodies that makes it immediately catchy as hell! Make sure to follow her here, here and here so you can keep up with her!!!
The sounds of summer in the city are coming to life with the colorful tunes of ”GRADUATE”. The New York 6-piece band of D’Nealianis delivering here with their debut song an afrodisiac, afro pop/disco pop and psyched orgy of playful melodies and danceable rhythms bringing this way the urecognizable samples of M.I.A and Bag Raiders into the big city beach!!! New band alert…..
”GRADUATE” is available for free download over here.
Native Vision is a 19 year old producer from Chicago and is one of these cases that proves that the age is so relative regarding the music. Ultra/lazerz is a crunky, hip hop and wonky little diamond shattered in the terms of a trance-y mode from a future ghetto generation! I just can’t get enough of this dirty, downtown aesthetic….
Greece’s own Dozen Draftis back with another psychedelic pop delight! On ”Nevertheless” the hypnotic beauty is spreading its sound on the edge of the world, on unknown territories that have all the charm of a blurry dream leading in a climax of a psychedelic folk masterpiece in the veins of freak monsters like Ilyas Ahmed! Amazing….
This productive Philadelphia artist released this beautiful EP a few weeks ago and i’m happy that i came across it. Silver Fur has this artistic pop point of view that is filled with experimental attitude under the spectrum of pure, loveable psychedelic pop magic! Check the summer harmonies of ”Blungover” and click here to download the Left Over EP.
I’ve praised the work of bedroom artist Nick Shapland once or two in the past and he continues to surprise with every new song that he uploads in his soundcloud page, where is the only way to listen to his work! His newest song is called ”Video Date”, a minimalistic and dark pop elegy, a sensual and erotic video game rooted somewhere between Talk Talk's hazy atmosphere and todays abstract micro-electronic pluralism, ending up to some surreal emotions! Sweet…
OMG, new track from the heavy, mystical duo of Om from their upcoming album Advatic Songs out on July 24 via Drag City. Yes, the instrument you’re hearing is the violin! Yes, they use the violin…. How cool is that???
You can pre-order Advatic Songs on 2xLP and cd here.
All we know about this fresh producer is his project name, C L A I R. Everything else is open for any speculation! His/her two mini tracks are a delicious preview of what is yet to come. A masterful game of twinkled beats, post rn’b flavor and bewitched sample treatment of a bass thinking and open minded community! The only thing that’s left is to hear them, hopefully soon, in its entity! Keep your eyes and ears widely open! Cheers….
This new hazy, psychedelic electronic pop song by Grecian producer Kid Flicks is capturing the essence of this years summer! A non understandable mood for doing nothing (the essence!) under the sounds of tropical beats with armful lazy tunes in playful tones that are reminiscent to you from the best moments of Animal Collective and the crazy world of Dan Deacon! All these dressed up with greek lyrics and an accent that is even hard for me to understand what is he talking about!!!! Love at first sight….
Stay tuned for the digital EP of ”χχτ” that is coming out soon and a new LP with the weird title ”By Typing ‘I Talk’, You Don’t Talk” that will drop in October.
In this slow, space, piano disco pop song with its dance groove appearing right in the middle of its 3.17 minutes where Grecian up and rising songstress Stella starts to sing in a sensual but angry way the key phrase ”Keep Me Naked”, is for the passion lovers who find their differences using an exquisite how to! A body dance climax with an uncontrolled balance hitting right in the spot of your nervous system which you’re going to love!
Keep Me Naked EP is available for free download over here!
The Dublin duo of Ghosts dropped today their new EP for our listening pleasure. The Irish producers on Judge EPexpand their sound into something even darker, an approach to the UK garage scene that is more than welcome. The twisted, ingenious rn’b touches and the Burial-esque ambience are filling any chance of doubt for something so beautiful and deep that it will make your heart pounding in every beat, in every sample, in every wicked synth…. Sick.
Stream below the rainy sounds of ”It Still Hurts” and click here to download their 6-track EP for free.
While i can say that i’m (mostly) into the experimental side of hip hop, sometimes threre are some songs that i can let them pass by so easily. The Untitled Track by California resident producer/MC K.T.F is one of these cases. The soulful side that this guy is leaning on has all the groove in the world that MC’s of the past were chasing and all the rn’b flavor to trap you in a heat wave of catchy synth lines! Sweet…
I’ve been a fan of Space Ghost's music for some time now, so i had pretty much wet my pants when Astro Nautico announced the release of the debut LP from this Oakland based producer. His defining sound is hidden behind the choked up and shimmering hip hop beats and the BoC ambience which is surfacing over the water-y production from his magic hands! You’re There LP offers all these things to elevate your normal day into something special and exceptional, with all these droney, Caretaker-y sound effects to evolve through your speakers in this fragile and emotional beat driven quite opus!!!
After the beautiful deception (yet still so sublime!) ”Washed Up”has offered, Ratchet Kills is back with a new sample based delicious tune! On ”Run” he puts Karen O on a repetitive, awkward (for her maybe!) situation but manages to pull up all the expectations i had for this producer! This is what happy hour means!!! Sick…
The new single by New Zealand rising beatmaker St Edenis bringing his production values in great heights. This abstract 2 track release with its slow burning build up and the discrete, subliminal bass approach is a headache that you wish to last longer! Check and feel the cutting edges rounding up on ”Oh No, No, No” and visit St Eden's bandcamp page if you wish to download this beauty for free.
Kitty Pryde - Ay Shawty: The Shrekoning!!! (Feat. Dankte) (Prod. By SELA.)
Florida’s dirty pink cute Kitty Pride just released Ha Ha, I’m Sorry EP and to be honest it was way more than good! Featuring productions by Beautiful Lou, GRANT and my favorite guy SELA. her extended play effort has this playful tone on rapping that ends up in a blissful, soulful rn’b! Check the pretty smooth tunes of Ay Shawty: The Shrekoning along with the help of SELA. and click here to stream/purchase the whole EP.
Dublin based producer Fawsbreaks his silence after five months of complete quiet and shares with us his new and, as it seems, much anticipated Blue Notes EP. Grab the opening Fuck It with its rude title and the under the belt midnight flavor striking you when you least expected and visit his bandcamp page to download/stream both of his (marvellous) EP’s!!!
Clan Destine Records is re-issuing the debut album from Ela Orleans on a limited run of cs. Remember the majestic vulnerability that’s emitting from ”In Spring” and visit Clan Destine’s site to catch up one of the 75 copies from the High Moon Low Sun tape!!!
The next installment from the Old Apparatus saga will come from the duo’s own new label Sullen Tone. Here is the first taste from their Derren 12” that will drop on July 16th, a creepy and tribal journey to their weird mind of theirs! So happy when i hear about new labels….
Change of course and sound from the Grecian duo of Ice Eyeson their new song, ”Systematic Symptomatic”. The dark and crystal clear production emphasizes the gloomy, step by step intro and offers the amount of dynamic that makes you wanna scream from joy! And then is where the baritone vocals of Jamie Byres appear offering a tremendous pleasure of misty, ’80s inspired synthesized pop!!! Ace….
I have posted so many tracks from this guy that i have nothing else to say! Literally… Just check out London Bridges soulful new track, I Want It, so you can experience the evolution of a promising talent yourself! Amazing….
After a long time of musical absence as FELICITA, the young producer from London made a hell of a comeback earlier today with three new tracks in the form of an EP! Today’s FELICITAhas adopted an experimental attitude in his style with the distorted rn’b vocal samples essentially tied to the shredded, chopped crystal beats! In the mind blowing ”Dios” the sharpened beats are collapsing steadily to give space to his slo-mo footwork-y rn’b vision, leaving you unprotected in his web of sounds!!! Ace….
Little is known about the artist with the code name TSDDII. The initials are for The Sunday David Die II or maybe i’m wrong and his project’s name is just Sad Hands! What i know for sure though, is that his mysterious EP hit me with an unexpected surprise. Its dark and brooding sounds unveil a claustrophobic state of mind, like the rather brilliant ”If Abihad A Side” where you can feel the African haunting secrets mourning over the diy aesthetic of this beautiful song!!!
The EP is available for streaming by clicking here.
Another track from the forthcoming debut album Whispers In The Dark by the Chicago based duo Supreme Cuts. Just 4 days before the album drops in the markets, they let loose ”Ciroc Waterfalls” so that can remind you that these guys are about to release (hopefully!) the electronic album of the summer!
Whispers In The Dark LP will be availiable for purchase on June 12 via Dovecote Records.
At last…. On August 28 Tri Angle will release the debut LP from the Manchester based producer Holy Other. ”Love Some1” is the first single that saw earlier today the light of day from his Held album. Enjoy……
Apart from his Advisory Circle project and his solo excursions, Jon Brooks has another thing going on in the same time. The return of Georges Vert is a fact after three years with a new track. ”An Electric Mind” has all these Italo horror influences with the synths composing a parallel Blade Runner soundtrack while the beats are carrying the burden of cosmic disco tag! I really enjoyed these futuristic landscapes and i hope for a new release to appear real soon….
Balancing between the ’90s electronic scene and ’80s new wave moodynes, Mr. Alfa floats into a futuristic synth universe with his track ”Share”. The German producer and owner of Venus Recordings combines the sounds of two past decades reffering to the future! Sweet…
Yoro Kobi consists by two French guys, Louis Miette & Vincent Grimaldi, and their newest track keeps bleeding through my speakers forming a transparent figure of Nicolas Jaar! ”Smoking Shapes” brings on the table the French house surrounded by deep, micro-electronic spaghetti samples! Essential….
UK electronic producer Antidrom keeps dropping his analogue, techno based and sort of space disco (only in this one right here!) imaginary tunes at infrequent intervals! On ”Sleeping Gypsy” the ambient introduction and the scary vocal samples step aside after the first minute and some groovy, disco oriented beats are finding their place into the proto-technoid production. Ace…
I got myself immerged into the dream like, cinematic beat space work of Australian producer Hollow Presswithout any warning at all. The ethereal ambience of ”Tomorrow” sent me into a sad place where loneliness is the prevailing situation. A creative solitude nonetheless is emerging through these calm yet powerful and visionary sounds that have settled inside me and they won’t let go! Superb tones in colourful motion….
This Montreal based three piece band is the closest thing to rock music that i’ve truly enjoyed lately! ”Oxy Love” is dominated by some exciting swirling guitars with all the distortion that is required and a powerful drum machine to make you wanna get up and leave nothing standing. Khalil Ghadban’s vocals are a serious nod to his shoegaze influences and what you’re about to hear is what you want to hear when someone is telling you RIYL: Jesus And Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine!!!! Get ready to blast some walls!!!
The Seed Coat is the work of just one man with little help of some friends when required! This Swedish delight is driven by Alexander Eldefors and his neo-psychedelic obsessions that led to an album called Mammal Days. ”Yellow Grass” is taken from the aforementioned album, an organ distorted and Spacemen 3 distilled gold that sustains a hazy condition after a midday panic attack!
You can purchase/stream the wonderful Mammal Days on the band’s bandcamp page.
The second track from Bronebrokk's upcoming free digital release is a heavy and dark subterranean danceable machinery! ”Parallel World” is full of secret passages leading to a threatining dead end. This bass ridden railway charged with all these wires is something you know you had to follow, no matter how uncomfortable it’ll make you feel!!! Ace….
Chameleon Grecian producer Phantomass pays a tribute to ’90s underground dance music with his new track. On ”Blame It On The Evening Rain” Phantomass adopts the philosophy and sound of 100% Silkand releases some deep house vibes on the synth flooded and neon lighted dancefloor!!!! Sick….
The opening track from Chants debut EP is one of the best things i’ve heard all week. The Brooklyn producer drops some sentient, tropical beats with a uk garage sentimental cloud floating above you! The vocals treatment on the other hand is probably the catchiest thing you’ve come to listen in a long time!!! This guy should be on the top of your list for the one’s to watch for….
