Cielo Azul creates these slow, ethereal and water based tunes that feels like they’ve popped out from some old and scratchy pages of an old, unread fairytale! The 20 year old producer from Atlanta, Georgia is setting the mood in his debut EP from the opening track. ”Intro//Old Friends” starts like a modern classical composition with its disposal piano sounds entering into an abandoned opera house right before the mind of Cielo Azul unveils its post rn’b weakness and lead us into a world of slo-mo beats with sirens calling your name!
Another cover from the Blade Runner soundtrack has hit the net. Grecian fellow Jackie Farrow and his project The Linear-A Experiment treat ”Blade Runner (End Titles)” like a religious act in the psychedelic circle of a space oddity! Weird and distant in Lynch-ian way but strangely beutiful with all the loneliness that it carries inside of it!!! Wonderful…

Mataqi's aka Brad Buenen first effort i have to admit that is kind of impressive. From the very beginning, with the opening ”Wild As Wind”, you are transported into a shiny synth pop universe were Knife could be tragically happy and annoyingly uplifting! Somehow though this song sticks with you and makes you wanna carry this groove the whole summer!!!
The dark electronic duo .message returns with this amazing cover of ”Blush Response” by Vangelis from the Blade Runner soundtrack. The ambient structures of ”Junio” are digging their way through the icy subconcious searching for some hot corners! Allow yourself to get lost to these magical moments that Sobrenadar is so generously offering!
While just searching on the web i bumped into this young producer from Sweden and his debut EP, Leagues. Times like these is where i realise how much i love my internet connection!!! Walter Berge aka mercimer trapped me in his web of groove over some bass thinking beats and danceable rhythm sections in a uk garage style! ”Freak U” is probably the most uplifting track in the EP where it feels like an adrenaline injection made to you by an unknown force!!! Grab this groove and don’t let go!!!
Florida’s SKuFL did a pretty amazing job on this remix of ”Still Sound” by Toro Y Moi. His rhymes over the chilled out tunes makes the whole thing addictive as hell and it sounds more like a reconstruction then a remix! It’s like a ’70s soft porn soundtrack full of blurry visuals and romantic steams!!!! You cannot avoid it, so you better listen to it! Enjoy….

Cheers…
The words of William Blake have given rise to this surrealistic pop song straight out of the melancholic hands of the Grecian producer KU. ”Jerusalem” almost feels like a reborn fantasy, an innocence synth ride through dark fields of baritone echoes!!!! Vancouver’s Village are about to drop their hazy dream pop tunes on a 7” this summer via Kingfisher Bluez. You won’t find much samba on the debut SAMBA EP by California resident Supa Koopa. Unique moments you are about to experience along with this mysterious producer from Bordeaux, France. ’80s beats and synths are colliding with some playful samples and ends up to the magical train of pop music where Daft Punk co-exist with Washed Out!!! Anymals has enter the scene!!!
Tell Me (What’s On Your Mind) 12” is the follow up single to the Press Records 45 Catamaran. The title song has this southern California psychedelic crazyness and heavy desert sense that only people with LSD experience can go deep into it! After five months of absence, London’s hypnagogic psych pop duo of Matthieu Beck and Marie Merlet aka Zooeyreturns with a new track that conveys all the scent of a summer in less then three minutes. I found myself getting super excited while hearing the debut EP by England’s Ghost Town. All the sounds of the past that i love are gathered here in five songs. I’ve been diggin’ the tunes of Rhodri Karim aka Uther Moads since he released his debut EP last year. Now he’s back with a new track for a compilation compiled by Depth Sound Recordings. Hydro-Acoustics is a ”Compilation of Nautical-Themed Contemporary Music”, 9 artists submit their musical thoughts about the sea and everything that has to do around her recording it either on bpm or in lo-fi pop sounds! Of course (?) ”Battenburg Variation” by Uther Moads is marked as a highlight with all this deep blue tectonic beats and deep ambiance drawing the unknown depth in slow motion!!!! Creepy and majestic simultaneously!!!!
I remember S U R V I V E from that Dark As Night cs back in 2010 that started it all. Their track ”Omniverse” was a haunting masterpiece along with tracks from Sleep Over, oOoOO and many others. Now, Mannequin Labelis about to release their first LP on May 28 and this is a reason to make you happy. Join S U R V I V E to an analogue, synth driven adventure that could make Vangelis proud and Kuedo to find a reason to surpass himself and this LP and get on their spaceship for a quest οn the threating universe.

We’ve talked about Vinh Ngan in the past. Well, the english producer decided to change his name in Triad God and managed to close a deal with Hippos In Tanks. Not bad…. Now, the dark and primary sounds of NXB LP are available for free download with this ’90s approach in electronic music and its cerebral taste in dance referring to the dazzling ethnic sounds were they dominate in its center. Actually, Triad God is David Chan (he also makes music as Palmistry, you can see the post below!) with NXB LP probably being his best work yet and one of the best releases of the year so far. Trust me on it!!!
