Mataqi’s aka Brad Buenen first effort i have to admit that is kind of impressive. From the very beginning, with the opening ”Wild As Wind”, you are transported into a shiny synth pop universe were Knife could be tragically happy and annoyingly uplifting! Somehow though this song sticks with you and makes you wanna carry this groove the whole summer!!!

The dark electronic duo .message returns with this amazing cover of ”Blush Response” by Vangelis from the Blade Runner soundtrack. Gone are the new age references from the original but it carries the same dark, suffocated and toxicated rhythmology of a lightless future! The Grecian duo brings on the floor some heavyweight bass driven perspective and along with the psychedelic synths that are spreading throughout the piece are about to launch this baby to a futureless outter space!!!

Sobrenadar - Junio

Far away from Buenos Aires is where Sobrenadar aka Paula Garcia composing and recording her little ethereal, dream pop gems. The ambient structures of ”Junio” are digging their way through the icy subconcious searching for some hot corners! Her vocals are radiating all the warmth you can bear, though in the beginning they seem distant and elusive. Allow yourself to get lost to these magical moments that Sobrenadar is so generously offering!

mercimer - Freak U

While just searching on the web i bumped into this young producer from Sweden and his debut EP, Leagues. Times like these is where i realise how much i love my internet connection!!! Walter Berge aka mercimer trapped me in his web of groove over some bass thinking beats and danceable rhythm sections in a uk garage style! ”Freak U” is probably the most uplifting track in the EP where it feels like an adrenaline injection made to you by an unknown force!!! Grab this groove and don’t let go!!!

Toro Y Moi - Still Sound (SKuFL ”No Sound” Remix)

Florida’s SKuFL did a pretty amazing job on this remix of ”Still Sound” by Toro Y Moi. His rhymes over the chilled out tunes makes the whole thing addictive as hell and it sounds more like a reconstruction then a remix! It’s like a ’70s soft porn soundtrack full of blurry visuals and romantic steams!!!! You cannot avoid it, so you better listen to it! Enjoy….

2econd Class Citizen - No Destination

Today is the day that Equinox Records drops the second full length by UK producer Aaron Thomason aka 2econd Class Citizen. But just before its release they gave away a new single from the album to shake things up a little bit! ”No Destination” joins the two big loves of 2econd Class Citizen, the ’70s psychedelic folk instrumentation with the DJ Shadow’s hip hop dark tendencies resulting to a cinematic black shade of unchained melodies!

Ddarque’s newest song ”Blinded” is a scary dub pop song full of tribal elements that penetrates through a musical universe where trip hop was the king and queen! Simply stunning!!!!

Shah Marg - Bracelet

After he introduced himself with his debut track ”Ashram”, the 22 year old from India just released his Desert EP via his bandcamp page. Shah Marg and his blown-out funk tendencies are blended here with the ’70s psychedelic navigations of modern experimentalists!
